A parish nurse is a registered nurse who is committed to the healing mission of the faith community and has completed the parish nursing preparation course. Parish nursing is a combination of nursing and ministry. The parish nurse ministers to individuals and families, using health education and spiritual maturity to promote wellness of body, mind & spirit.
A parish nurse is not a substitute for pastoral or medical care, community health nursing or social agencies. Parish nurses do not provide physical care such as giving injections, changing dressings or administering medications. When such care is needed, the appropriate referral will be made.
If you would like to talk with a parish nurse, please contact the church at (218) 233-4048 or info@triumphlbc.org.
